It’s a double your fun weekend at I-35 Speedway! Double the fun racing Friday and Saturday! Double the fun 4th Annual Smokin Trackside BBQ Bash and CASI JOY Concert! Double your fun with makeup features – Double Sport Compact Features on Friday, Double MOVR and A Mod Features on Saturday. Two days, Friday and Saturday, August 9 & 10, 2019, I-35 Speedway, the fun continues!
Friday brings the start of the Annual Smokin’ Trackside BBQ Bash, Racing at 7:30 and the Casi Joy Concert following the races. Gates open at 5:00, Adults are $15, Seniors (62 and over) $12, age 18 and younger are FREE, each night. Concert Only attendees the cover charge is $5. Racing on Friday will be the Sport Compacts, Pure Stocks, and E Mods. The second feature for the Sport Compacts will pay $500 to win.
Friday night, want to taste some outstanding barbeque before the judges get to taste it? The People’s Choice Barbeque Contest will determine who can barbeque the best chicken wings. For a nominal fee, you get to try the succulent wings and then vote for the wing that you believe taste the best. If that is not enough of a meal for you the Trackside Bar and Grill will be open with barbeque pulled pork sandwich special.
Saturday the track will enjoy the aroma of BBQ cooking as the KCBS judges will be in full scale taste testing the BBQ teams Brisket, Pork, Chicken, and Ribs. Saturday night the aroma changes to the powerful engines of the racecars and their racing fuel as they take to the track in competition. Saturday the gates open at 4:30 P.M., hot laps at 6:15 P.M., and racing begins at 7:00 P.M. USRA A Mods and MOVR (makeup features from July 20), USRA B Mods, USRA Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, E Mods, Late Models, and Sport Compacts.
I-35 Speedway is located at exit 64 off Interstate 35. Concessions are available throughout the facility! Large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, sweet funnel cakes, root beer floats, beverages of your choice, are all available to satisfy your appetite. Clean restrooms, always Free Parking, where else would you be this weekend other than I-35 Speedway?
