WINSTON, Mo. (April 25, 2026)—An action-packed Saturday night of racing went down this past Saturday night at Racin Dirt night at the races. Seventy-Five total cars across 8 classes came ready to race, and a grandstands full of fans ready to watch the dirt fly. Tonight we welcomed back the Midwest Lightning Sprints presented by Wholesale Batteries for the first time this season.
First on track for feature racing action was the E-Mods. Chris Dishong made his move on lap number 1 to get his car to the lead and wouldn’t be caught. This marks back-to-back feature wins for Dishong, for a total tally of 3 wins total in 4 nights of racing. Blake Hayes ran strong all night and would finish in 2nd, Garrett Stonum in 3rd, Johnny Eads in 4th and Jermey Pittsenbarger started 11th before finishing 5th.
USRA Tuners rolled out next, which had JR Curtis start from the pole and take-home tonight's feature win. Curtis becomes the 4th different winner in 4 events so far this season in the Tuners. It wasn’t easy for Curtis, Chris Lewis and Samuel Moore gave it everything they had to get around Curtis, battling lap after lap. Ultimately, Lewis would come home 2nd and Moore in 3rd. Joshua Robb finished in 4th and Robert Miller rounded out the top 5.
Midwest Lighting Sprints came out next to feature action, and Stanley Kreisel was lights out tonight. Krisel started 4th but found himself up front quickly in tonight’s feature event. Jason Billups finished in 2nd, Jeff Bard in 3rd, Ken Billings 4th and Tristan Smith in 5th.
USRA Hobby Stocks followed that up with some excitement of their own. Anthony Whitham started on pole and would take home the feature win. Landon Brown and Tyler Brown kept the pressure on Whitham all race long before coming home 2nd and 3rd. Shaun Wirtz finished in 4th and Brad Chumbly in 5th.
USRA B-Mods were next up for feature racing action, where we had Darren Shaw start from the pole as well and pull away for the feature win. Our other front row starter Michael Taylor III finished in 2nd, Adam Dunwoodie came home 3rd, Miken Iverson 4th, and Jimmy Downs finished in 5th.
USRA Stock Cars put on one of the most exciting races of the night, as Austin Kaplan was able to collect his first feature win at I-35 Speedway this season. Kaplan had to battle against Chris Dishong and Jason Estes for what felt like the entire race. Dishong would come home in 2nd, Estes 3rd. Corey Myers finished in 4th and Jeffery Sears rounded out the top 5.
Nick Roberts collected tonight's USRA Modified feature win. Roberts got to the front early and wouldn’t be caught in this one. Houston Johnson finished in 2nd, Brad Johnson 3rd. Steven Glenn came home in 4th and Richard Layne in 5th.
Makayla Myers completed the three-peat in the Beginner Tuner feature races. Myers has won 3 consecutive feature races in the Beginner Tuners series. Derek Johnson finished in 2nd, and Glenn Sterkis in 3rd.
