I-35 Speedway Heartland Modified Tour April 18 Preview

April 14, 2026

WINSTON, Mo. (April 14, 2026)—You like Modifieds? You like super-fast Modifieds?  You like close tight racing Modifieds?  It is here the first I-35 Speedway special of the year!  This Saturday, April 18, 2026, the drivers of the Heartland Modified Tour (HMT) will be in competition at I-35 Speedway. Joining the HMT for Generational Buildings Night at the Races will be the USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, E Mods, USRA Tuners, and USRA Hobby Stocks.  The Heartland Modified Tour brought some great competition to the track last race season!  You will want to be there to see the 2026 HMT version of this series dueling it out on track.

I-35 Speedway is located at Exit 64 off Interstate 35 (1/4 mile east of the exit).  Free Parking.  Mom approved restrooms.  No coolers are allowed.  No outside food and drinks are allowed.

Trackside Bar & Grill - located in Turn 1 - features Tenderloins, Chicken Strips, Burgers, Fries, Tacos, appetizers and more. Main Concession Stand - located inside the main gate entrance (Turn 4) - features burgers, walking tacos, hot dogs, popcorn, and Coca-Cola products. The Sugar Shack is in Turn 1 featuring funnel cakes, fried oreos, root beer floats, ice cream and everything sweet!

Weather Contingency Plan: As many are aware, Mother Nature is challenging.  The last two weeks moisture has caused cancellation.  While forecasts are not always exact should the track be affected with moisture on April 18 a regular weekly show (all USRA classes, E Mods, and Beginner Tuners) will be raced on Sunday April 19 starting at 4:30 P.M.  (hot laps at 4:00 P.M.) with pit gates and grandstand gates opening 2 hours before the race time.  Regular weekly grandstand prices of $15 Grandstands and $12 for Seniors and Military would apply. The HMT Special does not have a make-up date and if not raced on Saturday will be cancelled.

Whichever date I-35 Speedway is able to race this weekend we challenge everyone who knew Super Race Fan Darla Dixon to bring their air horns and celebrate her life by honoring her by “honk honking” their air horns for their favorite drivers.  We also are aware her Celebration of Life is at 2 P.M. on Sunday, please attend that event before coming to the track.
