WINSTON, Mo. (Sept. 6, 2025)—Saturday, September 6th marked Kingdom Truss Night at the Races, drawing a total of 126 cars to I-35 Speedway.

Prior to the main feature events, attendees were treated to additional racing action with two makeup features incorporated into the schedule during the heat races. In the makeup USRA Modified feature, Houston Johnson established a commanding lead to secure victory, while JR Curtis overtook points leader Brad Mick late in the race for his inaugural win in the compacts division.

The E-Mods opened the program following intermission. Tony Layne emerged victorious, earning his tenth win of the season at I-35 and retaining his lead in the E-Mod points standings. Consistent performances by Garrett Stonum and Nathan Hampton earned them second and third place finishes, respectively, with Blake Bland and Tyler Erickson completing the top five.

During the Late Model feature, Houston Johnson achieved a second consecutive win for the evening. Tommy Cordray claimed second, followed by Jon Binning, Paul Glendenning, and Michael King rounding out the top five positions.

Robert Miller successfully held off Bentley Long to claim the Jr Sport Compact feature. Dakota TeBeest, Hallie Waters, and last week's feature winner, Abby Lee, completed the top five.

The Open Vintage class followed, where Ron Lefholz and Mike Lefholz finished first and second. Early leaders Bill Hager and Steve Tanner secured fourth and fifth, respectively, while Darrin Christy rounded out the top five.

With 23 cars scheduled, Pure Stocks was among the largest classes of the night. AJ Sayers withstood several restarts and fended off Chase Galvan for his first feature victory of the season at I-35. Galvan finished second, trailed by points leader Shaun Wirtz, Tim Pruett, and Calvin Teel.

B-Mods presented the largest field, featuring 25 cars. The contest culminated in a dramatic finish as Daniel Harris narrowly edged out Chad Clancy. Shayne Bailey placed third, followed by a strong performance from Michael Taylor III in fourth and Perry Milbourn Jr. in fifth.

Tyler Cadwallader continued his winning streak in the USRA Stock Cars at I-35, making it two consecutive victories. Thor Anderson advanced from eighth to secure second place, while Scott Brown finished third after challenging for the lead, with Jeff Dixon and Clayton Brown completing the top five.

Houston Johnson concluded an outstanding evening by securing his third feature win at I-35. Terry Vantrump delivered a commendable second-place finish, joined by Brad Johnson, Jimmy Dowell, and Mark Dotson in the top five.

The Sport Compacts closed the program with another exciting final lap. After being overtaken by JR Curtis in the makeup feature, Brad Mick found redemption, narrowly defeating David Miller in a photo finish—one of two that evening. Alex Boyden, Chris Lewis, and Harold Robb Jr. completed the top five.

We extend our appreciation to all drivers, sponsors, officials, teams, and fans for their continued contributions each week. Special thanks are due to the track and safety crews for their prompt and effective handling of repairs and safety matters, ensuring a smooth continuation of the event. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next Saturday night, Sept. 13, featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Pure Stocks, Midwest Limited Late Models, Economy Mods, Sport Compacts, Jr Sport Compacts and the Show-Me Vintage Racing (SMVR) vintage cars.
