Another week of action has come and went at I-35 Speedway, and there’s plenty of excitement to recap.
Pure Stocks got the night started, with Jacob Hisel pulling away from A.J. Sayers and Shaun Wirtz for his first feature win of the year.
Brad Mick got around Samuel Moore early and made it four wins in a row to start this season at I-35 in the sport compacts.
In the IMCA Racesaver Sprint Cars, Jacob Dye and J.R. Topper battled it out, eventually allowing Jacob Dye to pull away with the win.
In the first Late Model feature of the year, Tyler Hibner was able to pass Tommy Cordray and pull away from Paul Glendenning for the feature victory.
Chad Clancy and Brayden Bennett battled it out in the B-Mods lap after lap, with Clancy eventually pulling away from the 14B for the feature win.
Another great race followed in the USRA Stock Cars, with Rodney Schweizer holding off a hard charging Jaylen Wettengel for his first feature win of the year.
A-Mods came next, featuring a fast class with perennial contenders in Tyler Hibner, Lee Hibner, Houston Johnson, and Shadren Turner. Everyone ran a great race, green to checkered, but a week after his heartbreak with the HMT in town nobody was catching Shadren Turner.
Tony Layne was also going for four wins in a row to start the year, but damage from a multi-car accident in turn one would prevent him from catching feature winner Chris Dishong in the E-Mods.
Finally in the JR Sport Compacts John Lucito Jr pulled away from Athena Riley for his first feature win of the year.
