In keeping with the theme of I-35 Speedway “come have fun”, the rules for the Midwest Limited Late Models and the Sport Compact classes have been revised and updated on the website, www.i-35speedway.net. Several of the I-35 Speedway rules start with this sentence, “Our intent is not to legislate out a competitor but instead to find a way to make cars competitive, so everyone may come and have fun”. The Sport Compact changes are to allow headers, locked differentials, and to clarify the tire rule so racers at other tracks may come have fun on Saturday nights. The Limited Late Model amendment was to eliminate the rule no side or bottom discharge concerning fuel cells.
Copies of rules, answers to any questions, and an opportunity to complete the 2019 registration will be available on January 12, 2019 at the Trackside Bar and Grill located at the Speedway (exit 64 off Interstate 35). Meeting will start at 10 a.m. You can now order your American Racer tires and Real Wheels through I-35 Speedway. Have your order ready at the meeting and be prepared to save dollars.
