One hundred twenty-two (122) racecars checked into the pit area for Missouri One Call Night with Show Me Vintage Racers and Midwest Lightning Sprints on hand. Track crew fought with mother nature all night, but the track was in racy condition with multiple grooves for racing.
First on the track were the E-mods with Tim Eaton doubling up on the weekend with the feature win. The battle ensued behind Eaton with Casey Burnett in second, Aaron Jones in third, Andrew Thomas in fourth and Brett Holman in fifth.
Next up were the Pure Stocks where Chase Galvan also doubled up on the weekend with a feature win at I-35 Speedway. Following him, Tyler Starmer would take second, Johnnie Price third, Jakub Hisel fourth and points leader Ava Dixon fifth.
In the Midwest Limited Late Models, Isaac Dotson and Ed Noll would trade the lead back and forth until Dotson would get back by for the feature win and Noll would take second. Points leader Shayne Bailey would finish in the third spot after rebounding from going over the bank. Tommy Cordray would come in fourth after racing with no power steering, and Michael Trulson would round out the top five.
The Midwest Lightning Sprints would join us again this week. Tony Layne led much of the race until he would suffer from a blown motor. Tyler Johnson would inherit the lead from Layne and hold on for the feature win. Points leader Chasity Younger would finish in second. Newcomer and second-generation driver Darin Woodward would come in third with Mike Tindell fourth and Tony Layne getting the fifth spot.
The Show Me Vintage Racers would also make an appearance this week. Damon Clevenger would make a pass halfway through the race and capture the feature win. Andy Wiles would make it interesting at the end to take home a second-place finish, followed by Brad Barlow, Mickey Fleehart and Rodney Ashworth.
In USRA B-mod action, Tyler Cadwallader would use lap traffic to his advantage to pick up the feature win. Michael Taylor III would lead at the beginning of the race but would finish in second after getting caught up in lap traffic. Ethan Issacs would finish in third, another victim of lap traffic. Chad Fuller had a good run finishing in fourth. Dustin Crist would come from deep in the field to round out the top five.
The USRA Stock Cars would see points leader Nic Hanes leading most of the race until a mechanical failure would end his night early, giving the lead to Jeff Dixon. Dixon would take home the feature win. Jason Estes would make it an interesting battle to attempt to take the lead but would finish in second. Kristchon Hisel would rebound from an earlier spin to finish third, followed by Chester Kaufman and Paul Carter.
Next on the track would be the USRA Modifieds. Lee Hibner would lead much of the first half of the face until a mechanical issue would end his night. He had been racing side by side with his son, points leader, Tyler Hibner who would inherit the lead and pick up another feature win. Houston Johnson would find his way to a second-place finish, followed by Jace Whitt, Tyler Grooms and Dennis Caleb.
In Sport Compact competition Brad Mick would add to his win total and points lead taking home the top prize. James Barr would have his best finish in second, Harold Robb Sr battled all night finishing third, Laura Davis had her best career finish in fourth and David Robb would finish fifth.
Congratulations to fan of the week Andy Williams sponsored by Graphics King, Wright Racing, BF Racing, Teel Racing and I-35 Speedway.
Join us next week for Seeburg Mufflers night as we welcome the USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints with video coverage by BSE Productions. As temperatures creep from 99-102 degrees next week the action will start one hour later with hot laps at 7:20pm.
