I-35 Speedway Race Recap/Results 4-13-24

It was another fun night of racing here at I-35 Speedway, but our hearts were heavier than usual this weekend. Bob Reber, one of our officials and our backup flagman with over 40 years of officiating experience, suffered a stroke on Thursday morning. Our hearts go out to him and his family at this trying time, with drivers passing the helmet for donations to help him on his road to recovery.

The racing here was fantastic yet again, with a photo finish in the Sport Compact division. It was so close it took us in the booth nearly a minute to know who won. Late Model’s also made their season debut, with a past track champion in that division, Paul Glendenning, taking home the checkered flag. In the B-Mods, last year’s most improved driver via points, Chase Moulton, won his first feature event. While Moulton won his first ever, two drivers have Three-peated features this season, Grant Sheetz in Jr. Sport Compacts and Nic Hanes in USRA Stock Cars. Track rules state the non-USRA classes require the driver the following week to start at the back of the field or in the 10th position. Sheetz will have to start at the tail of the field for his event next week, so come by then to see a fantastic driver climb his way through the field. Full results posted below.
