Ooh, Awe, Wow, Yay, Yippee, more Oohs, that is how the racing this Saturday, June 25, 2022 will end at I-35 Speedway. How do we know this already? It is the McCarthy Autogroup Fireworks Spectacular Racin’ For Rian Special. In addition to the door to door, side by side, four and five wide racing on the track the night will end with the annual Fireworks Spectacular “Fire in the Sky”. I-35 Speedway begins our country’s independence birthday celebration this weekend because the staffing shortage in the USA includes available fireworks shooters.
Before we get to fireworks it is the race friends of Bud Wilson want to win. This is the 11th annual Racin’ for Rian in honor of Bud and Amanda Wilson’s baby girl who only lived a few hours after her birth. The Wilson family started this tradition and with the help of race fans have donated approximately several thousand dollars to the St. Luke’s NICU. Racing and Fireworks this Saturday, you will want to be there!
Racing action begins at 7:00 P.M. for the E Mods, Pure Stocks, Limited Late Models, USRA B Mods, USRA Stock Cars, USRA A Mods, and the Sport Compacts. Pit gates open 3 hours before race time and the grandstands open 30 minutes after the pit gates open. This is a Special Event Race so admission prices are $20 for Adults, $15 for Seniors (62 and older) and Military, and as always, those 18 and younger (ID may be requested) are Free. At intermission the Little Buddy Power Wheels will take the track and as always grab your ticket for a chance to be the Fan of the Week.
Super easy access to I-35 Speedway, exit 64 and turn east a short quarter mile. Free Parking always. Concessions located throughout the facility serving your favorites, like sweet, tasty funnel cakes, large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and tea, water, pop, or beer.
