I-35 Speedway 9-9-23

This Saturday, September 9, 2023, at I-35 Speedway it is Premier Lubricants Night at the Races Suicide Awareness Night.  Pure Stocks are racing for $500 to win sponsored by ASF Racing.  Plains Dedicated Trucking is sponsoring the E-Mods for this race, it will be $450 to win with additional bonus money throughout the field.  A Driver collection in the grandstands will occur at intermission. Lucas Winder will make a special collection presentation at intermission.

Suicide prevention and suicide awareness are important to the I-35 Speedway racing family!  The coordination of this event is led by the racers and the I-35 Speedway racing family. The night will begin with a parade tribute by the racers during the invocation and national anthem.

Classes in competition on this exciting night of racing in addition to the Pure Stocks and E-Mods will include the USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, Sport Compacts, Junior Sport Compacts, and the Midwest Lightning Sprints.  Effective immediately, the remaining schedule for the Midwest Limited Late Models is September 16, September 30, October 14, and October 28.

The countdown to the season championship has begun.  I-35 Speedway will be in action for the next 8 weeks every Saturday night.  Eighty (80) points separate Jeffrey Sears and Johnnie Price in the Pure Stocks.  Adam Dunwoodie leads the E Mods in points.  Brad Mick leads Jonnathon Hartman and Harold Robb in the Sport Compacts.  In the Medieval USRA Stock Cars track point leader Jeff Dixon is one of the top 35 drivers in the national points while weekly competing against some of the best in USRA points.  In the USRA Modifieds Tyler Hibner leads Houston Johnson by 32 points.  The USRA B Mods point race is led by Corey Myers who weekly faces some of the top USRA National Points modified drivers in the country.  The Midwest Limited Late Model point race is battle between Houston Johnson and Tommy Cordray, the only two drivers in this class who have made all the races this year.  Finally, the Junior Sport Compacts are led in points by Payton Hanes with Maddy Barr still in striking distance.

Gates open at 4:30 P.M. Adults $15, Senior and Military $12, Youth – 18 and under Free (ID may be requested).  Located at Exit 64 off Interstate 35 (1/4 east of Interstate).  Free Parking.  Mom approved restrooms.

Concessions at Trackside Bar and Grill (Turn 1) and at gate entrance (Turn 4) – funnel cakes, chili dogs, large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and tea, water, pop, coffee, hot chocolate, or beer.

McCarthy Auto Group Upgrades:  Be on the lookout for McCarthy Auto Group upgrades. Upgrading fans with suite seats, pit passes, and food vouchers each week!

Pit gates open at 3:30 P.M. Driver’s meeting and pill draw close 6:00 P.M., Hot Laps 6:20 P.M. to 6:50 P.M.  First heat race: 7:00 P.M. Pit passes: Drivers $35, Pit Crew and Pit Spectators $40, Kids 6-10 $25, Kids under 5 – Free.

I-35 Speedway Driver registration: Register with I-35 Speedway (myracepass.com) or print form at www.i-35speedway.net complete and bring with you. One-night temporary registration $15.

Fuel (110 and Premium) is available for sale at the track.  American Racer tires are also for sale at the track. Also available Champion Race Products (oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, gear oil).

Minors (17 and under):  Everyone age 17 and under must have a completed Minor’s release to enter pits.

Competitors Minor’s Release: Must be a completed Minor’s release for all competitors 17 and younger AND it must include a copy of the birth certificate with either a valid state stamp or authentic seal.
