I-35 Speedway 6-17-23

The roaring thunder of the USAC/Midwest Wingless Racing Association Sprint Cars will fill the air at I-35 Speedway this Saturday night, June 17, 2023.  This exciting turn it sideways slip sliding through the turns with driver control of throttle and steering wheel will be on full display along with the I-35 Speedway weekly racing, less the Limited Late Models, who will have the night off.   It is Seeburg Muffler Night at the Races, a Special Event with the USAC/MWRA racers.

Grandstand gates open at 4:30 P.M. Adults $20, Senior and Military $15, Youth – 18 and under Free (ID may be requested).  Located at Exit 64 off Interstate 35 (1/4 east of Interstate).  Free Parking.  Mom approved restrooms.

Midwest Wingless Racing Association (MWRA) is your premiere non-wing sprint car series based and focused within the Midwest.  MWRA is dedicated to building the sport and promoting the athletes of non-wing sprint car racing with a huge history in the Midwest.  The organization is backed by long-time sanctioning body United States Auto Club (USAC).  The current points race for the championship sees the following drivers in the Top 10, Braydon Cromwell, Wyatt Burks, Brad Wyatt, Chad Winfrey, Chris Parkinson, Justin Johnson, Zachary Clark, Kory Schudy, Buddy Parker, and Chad Goff.  Who will claim the victory this Saturday?

At I-35 Speedway the race fan always gets their money’s worth of racing.  In addition to the Sprint Cars, the USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, E Mods, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts, and Junior Sport Compacts will be in action.  The Sprint Cars are scheduled to be the opening act, so be early to catch all the racing action.

RACE FAN INFORMATION:

Concessions at Trackside Bar and Grill (Turn 1) and at gate entrance (Turn 4) – funnel cakes, chili dogs, large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and tea, water, pop, coffee, hot chocolate or beer.

McCarthy Auto Group Upgrades:  Be on the lookout for McCarthy Auto Group upgrades. Upgrading fans with suite seats, pit passes, and food vouchers each week!

DRIVER AND PIT CREW INFORMATION:

Pit gates open at 3:30 P.M. Driver’s meeting and pill draw close 6:00 P.M., Hot Laps 6:20 P.M. to 6:50 P.M.  First heat race: 7:00 P.M.

Pit passes: Drivers $35, Pit Crew and Pit Spectators $40, Kids 6-10 $25, Kids under 5 – Free.

I-35 Speedway Driver registration: Register with I-35 Speedway (myracepass.com) or print form at www.i-35speedway.net complete and bring with you. One-night temporary registration $15.

REMINDER: June 17 is Non-Wing Sprint Cars.  The Midwest Limited Late Models will not be racing on this night.

Makeup races for the USRA A Modifieds, the Sport Compacts, and Junior Sport Compacts from the June 3, 2023, suspended races, are scheduled for the following weeks, Sport Compacts on June 24, Junior Sport Compacts on July 1, and the USRA Modifieds will be on July 8, 2023.

Fuel (110 and Premium) is available for sale at the track.  American Racer tires are also for sale at the track. Also available Champion Race Products (oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, gear oil).

Minors (17 and under):  Everyone age 17 and under must have a completed Minor’s release to enter pits.

Competitors Minor’s Release: Must be a completed Minor’s release for all competitors 17 and younger AND it must include a copy of the birth certificate with either a valid state stamp or authentic seal. Additionally, all minors must provide a driver resume or profile containing all racing experience of the young driver and their parents, and it must be in pdf or word format (in other words cannot be handwritten). Minor’s resume is required to be attached to the Minor Release. Minor’s Release will require both parents notarized signature on the parental consent. All of this must be completed before the minor driver can take the track!
