One hundred three (103) cars checked in for Highway 36 Auto and Diesel Night on this beautiful Memorial Day weekend as we celebrated the past, present and future of our armed service members. The drivers put on an outstanding show for the fans as the final checkered flag dropped at 10:30 pm.

The E-Mods put on a great show for the fans tonight as Adam Dunwoodie, the current points leader, picked up his fourth feature win of the season. Dunwoodie had to battle defending track champion Casey Burnett and last week’s feature winner Aaron Jones with Burnett finishing second and Jones third. Kenny Prince would win his battle over Richard Layne as they finished fourth and fifth.

In Pure Stocks, Jeffrey Sears would pick up his sixth feature win of the season in a race dedicated to his father who passed away earlier this week. Sears, who had the race of the night battling side by side with Jon Boller Jr before he eventually pulled away. Jon Boller Jr would then battle side by side with Alvie Christofferson as they would finish second and third. Bubba Silkwood would have another good run finishing fourth. Dale Eaton would finish fifth after starting in the 17th position.

In the Midwest Limited Late Models, Ed Noll would visit McCarthy Auto Group victory lane for the third time this season holding off current points leader Houston Johnson, who finished second. Tommy Cordray would battle side by side with Paul Glendenning, as Cordray finished third and Glendenning fourth. First time I-35 Speedway competitor Bobby Ryan would finish in fifth.

The Vintage Open made their second trip to I-35 Speedway with Ron Lefholz taking away the lead from Lonnie Farley to pick up the win. Farley had a run off of turn four but finished second, with Mike Lefholz third, Walt Ryan fourth and Steve Tanner fifth.

In the USRA B-Mods Shadren Turner made it three-wide at the drop of the green flag and had the lead as they entered turn one as he went on to pick up his fifth feature win of the season. Henry Chambers won a great side by side battle with Jace Whitt to finish second, and Whitt third. Tim Eaton also had a great side by side battle with Corey Meyers as Eaton finished fourth and Meyers fifth.

In the Medieval USRA Stock Cars Nic Hanes would find himself in McCarthy Auto Group victory lane for the second time this season. Hanes seized the lead from Chase Galvin about five laps into the feature. Galvin and Jeff Dixon battled side by side trying to wrestle the lead away from Hanes. In the end, Dixon would finish second and Galvin third, with Brandon Dixon finding a handle on his USRA Stock car to finish fourth and Chester Kaufman in fifth.

Mr. Smooth, Chad Clancy, would pick up his second USRA Modifieds feature win of the season at I-35 Speedway. Clancy would have to hold off challenges from points leader Houston Johnson and the defending track champion Tyler Hibner. Johnson would finish second. Chris Spalding would slip by Tyler Hibner for third, with Tyler Hibner finishing fourth and Lee Hibner fifth.

After winning three features in a row Alvin Cooney would step away from I-35 Speedway for a few weeks. Cooney would come back tonight to take his fourth feature win of the season in the Sport Compact division as he got by early leader Jonnathon Hartman. Hartman would finish second, followed by Brad Aleshire in third, Harold Robb Jr in fourth and Chris Wright in fifth as they all had a side-by-side battle to the finish.

In the Jr Sport Compact division, Eddie Noll would pick up his seventh feature win of the season. It is the third time this season Noll has shared McCarthy Auto Group victory lane with his dad. Grant Sheetz would have a good run finishing second. Also, with good runs were Mandy Barr in third, Katelyn Flemming in fourth, Betty Wright in fifth and Payton Hanes in sixth.
