I-35 Speedway is pleased to announce the addition of the USMTS Modifieds to the 2018 racing schedule. The Best of the Best Modified touring series will be in competition at the famed 3/8s mile track on Thursday, August 16, 2018. I-35 Speedway officials are continuing to work on a final schedule for 2018 which will include several additional events on Fridays and Sundays in addition to the normal Saturday night schedule. Additionally, the all-powerful Power Wheels will be returning to the schedule as we continue to let our youth learn and enjoy our sport.
I-35’s management is also working on finalizing rules for the non-sanctioned classes in 2018. As a reminder the annual driver’s meeting will be held at the Cameron Community Center starting at 10 a.m. on January 20, 2018. Last year at this meeting the Grand National class rules were minimized so various racers could come have fun without unnecessary rule restrictions. The average car count in this class grew in 2017 because of this rules reduction effort and open communication. Remember I-35 Speedway is the track you can count on. We strive to never burden our racers with unneeded cost due to changes.
