I-35 Speedway August 21, 2018 Press Release

Racing fun continues at I-35 Speedway this Saturday, August 25, 2018.  Last Saturday 98 racecars were in competition and this week brings another great Saturday night of side by side nose to tail racing competition. Time flies when you are having fun, well it is hard to believe this month has flown by with Kids Night, Friday Night ATV racing, Trackside BBQ Bash, Smokin Hot Summer Series, and weekly racing every Saturday night.  Weekly racing of USRA A Mods, USRA B Mods, and USRA Stock Cars along with E Mods, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts, and Grand Nationals will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with excitement.

I-35 Speedway is located at exit 64 off Interstate 35.  Gates open at 4:30 P.M., hot laps at 6:15 P.M., and racing begins at 7:00 P.M. Adults are $12, Seniors (62 and over) $10, age 18 and younger are FREE.

Concessions are available throughout the facility!  Large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, sweet funnel cakes, root beer floats, beverages of your choice, are all available to satisfy your appetite.  The Trackside Bar and Grill overlooking the racing in turn 1 is a great place for dinner.  Clean restrooms, always Free Parking, where else would you be on Saturday night other than I-35 Speedway?

This weekend adds another first at I-35 Speedway Motorsports Park the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) RallyCross on Sunday, August 26. RallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the SCCA, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. The entry fees and equipment requirements are considerably less than those necessary to enter any other forms of performance rally, so in most locations one need only arrive at event registration with a sound, hardtop vehicle and the entry fee ($35 SCCA members/$45 non members). Many SCCA Regions have helmets to loan and will assist the first-time competitor with entering the appropriate class, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course. Best of all, it’s great fun!  Gates for this event open at 7 a.m., tech inspection at 8, driver’s meeting at 9, with the morning session starting at 10.  An afternoon session is scheduled at 1 p.m.
