I-35 SPEEDWAY 2022 SCHEDULE
You have been waiting to see what is scheduled for your favorite racetrack, I-35 Speedway for the 2022 racing season, the wait is over! Get out your calendar and enter the dates listed below so you don’t miss any of the great exciting racing action which starts in March and continues every Saturday through the end of October.
Practices, times three, yes three practices are scheduled at the legendary track, March 5, March 12, and Friday March 18. Friday, practice on Friday? Yes, because check the schedule, the track opens with a Special Race – the ICE BUSTER featuring the USRA A Mods, USRA Stock Cars, the USRA B Mods, and the E Mods on March 19. The countdown is on, eight weeks to practice, 10 weeks until we are Racing!
As a reminder we will not be holding a winter driver’s meeting, if you need to register it is available online at www.i-35speedway.net or myracepass. Need a parking spot, reserved your past spots by January 15, on January 16 it becomes first come first serve for those not previously reserved. Weekly Racing includes USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, E-Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts, and the Midwest Limited Late Models. Updated Rules for the Limited Late Models, the E-Mod, Pure Stock, and Sport Compact classes are available at www.i-35speedway.net. The rules are written to allow racers to come race and have fun. For the USRA classes those rules have been updated and published at www.usraracing.com.
I-35 Speedway is home to several memorial races as we remember those who have thrilled/helped us through the years and have already headed home to race in heaven. Those races include the Cletus “Mudcat” Murray Memorial, Finish Strong – Mike Tanner Memorial, Racin for Rian, Bud Wilson Memorial and the Mike Knight Memorial. The schedule also includes awareness nights with Suicide Awareness and Beware of Cancer Nights.
The Central Auto Racing Boosters will return this year as I-35 Speedway continues a tradition of being a C.A.R.B. supported track continuously since 2008. Being a member of this 70-year-old organization supports local racing and on October 1 show your membership card and you get into the grandstands for free. This organization has been promoting the sport of Auto Racing since 1952.
Each month is packed with nights you will want to be in attendance. Maybe you are Sprint Car fan, the USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints will make one visit to the track in July. In August, the Annual Smokin’ Trackside BBQ Bash with two nights of racing. The fun begins in only a few short weeks. Mark your calendars so you can remember to be at I-35 Speedway.
